Adding Outcomes to your Rubric

In your Rubric, add a new Outcome-aligned criterion by clicking the Create From Outcome button. In the screenshot below, I have ten non-Outcome criteria, so my Outcome-aligned criterion will be #11:
A box will appear with your Outcomes listed (if your Outcomes do not appear, make sure you have imported your Outcomes into your Blueprint or Course shell by following these directions).
Select the Outcome you want to align to this Rubric. A new screen will appear, showing you a "preview" of that Outcome.
- IMPORTANT:
  - If this is an embedded outcome (the score given for this Outcome also counts as the score/toward the score for this assignment), be sure that the "Use this criterion for scoring" checkbox is checked.
  - Alternatively, if this is not an embedded outcome, be sure the "Use this criterion for scoring" box is unchecked.
- Once you're ready, click the Import button at the bottom right of this Outcome "preview" window.
Click Save Rubric at the bottom right to save your Rubric.

To add Rubrics to an assigment:

Go to the assignment page.
Click Find Rubric. A sidebar will appear. In that sidebar, select the Rubric you want to apply to this assignment, then click the Add button at the bottom.

To add Rubrics to a discussion:

Go to the Discussions page, then click on the discussion to which you would like to apply the rubric.
- Note: do not go to the Edit page for the discussion; instead go to the specific page for the individual discussion you're planning to use. Pro tip: in the Discussions page, just click the name of the Discussion - that will bring you to the page you need.
Once inside the page for the Discussion, click the 3-dot menu button to the far right of the Discussion's title, and in the menu that appears, click Add Rubric.
A small Rubric window will appear. Click Add Rubric in that window, then the "Find a Rubric" button at the top right of the window that appears. From there, you can find your Rubric and assign it to this Discussion.
