This video goes over how to grade assignments with an Outcome line added to the Grading Rubric:

Note: depending on exactly how the rubric was set up, it may function slightly differently. Key to remember are the following:
- Make sure there is a score entered in the Grade box - this is what gives the student a grade for the assignment
- Make sure there is a score entered for the Outcome line in the Rubric - this is how the student score will tie to assessment
  - If the earned grade does not exactly match an option in the Rubric (ie - 100, 70, 50, 20, or 0), that's fine - simply select the score the student passed. In other words, if the student scored 55, you would select 50, as that is the available score the student passed.
- In the video example, the Outcome line is set up to be separate from the student's actual grade. If the Outcome line is set up to actually be the grade or be part of the grade, then the score you add to the assessment line in the Rubric will become or add to the actual grade, and may automatically apply itself to the score box (meaning you would not have to manually add the score to the score box, like we had to in the video).
